Indian MedTech|AI Innovation: Forus Health

Forus Health is a Bengaluru-based MedTech startup revolutionizing eye care accessibility in India and beyond. Founded in 2010 by Dr. Ranganath, an ophthalmologist with a vision to combat blindness through affordable diagnostics.

Forus Health develops portable, AI-powered devices for diabetic retinopathy screening and other retinal disorders. Their flagship product, the 3nethra Classic, is a handheld fundus camera that captures high-resolution images of the eye's retina in under a minute, without the need for pupil dilation. 

Integrated with AI algorithms, it detects early signs of diabetic retinopathy with over 90% accuracy, enabling timely interventions to prevent vision loss.
