Bangalore-based OncoStem’s CanAssist-Breast uses AI + machine learning to analyze tumor biology and predict recurrence risk in early-stage hormone-positive breast cancer patients. The test evaluates 5 protein biomarkers from tissue samples combined with clinical data, assigning a "low" or "high" recurrence score. 

This spares low-risk patients (~65% of cases) from unnecessary chemotherapy and its debilitating side effects — solving a critical overtreatment problem in India where 70%+ patients historically received chemo preventively. 

Niramai (Non-Invasive Risk Assessment with Machine Intelligence) revolutionizes early breast cancer detection using thermal imaging and proprietary AI algorithms. Unlike mammography, it’s radiation-free, non-invasive, and effective for dense breasts—addressing accessibility gaps in rural India.

The AI analyzes thermal patterns to detect tumors as small as 5mm with 90%+ accuracy, making screenings affordable (₹500-800/test) and privacy-focused. Deployed in 100+ clinics across India, it tackles late diagnosis in low-resource settings.
